Lydia Hazell
Counsellor
Lydia is a BACP Accredited Counsellor with over 10 years’ experience of working with a wide range of presenting issues, namely depression, self-esteem, relationships, bereavement, self-harm, suicidality, stress, pregnancy issues and anxiety. Lydia works with all ages and has vast experience of counselling young children through to the elderly.
She has a Postgraduate Diploma in Person-Centred Experiential Counselling; Level One Certificate in Emotion-Focused Therapy & a BA Honours in Counselling Studies. She currently works for universities in Glasgow and has previously worked as a Counsellor within the Prison Service, Education sector and for numerous local authorities throughout her career.
Lydia’s counselling approach offers an open, honest & accessible space to explore, reflect and talk about personal and emotional difficulties that may be worrying, or impacting on you in your daily life. Lydia recognises that at the heart of counselling is the relationship between you and the Counsellor, and so it’s important you like and trust that individual so you can get the best support in your sessions with them.
