Karin Usher
Integrative Psychotherapist
Karin (she/her) holds a Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and is a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Â
Karin is an Integrative Psychotherapist and Rewind Technique Practitioner specialising in guiding individuals through trauma and PTSD recovery. The Rewind Technique is a specific treatment technique for one aspect of trauma related problems i.e. flashbacks, and is used by Karin in the context of a comprehensive, trauma-informed counselling approach. Her expertise also encompasses support for anxiety, depression, suicidality, and other life struggles.
Â
Drawing from evidence-based theories and techniques, she tailors her approach to meet each client's unique needs. Her practice seamlessly integrates elements of person-centred therapy, neuroscience, polyvagal theory, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), Gestalt, rewind and somatic techniques.
Â
Central to her therapeutic philosophy is the belief in collaboration. Through a compassionate and non-judgmental space, Karin guides clients in exploring underlying issues, addressing fears, and co-creating personalised techniques for growth and healing.
Â
She offers a free 15-minute consultation over the phone or online, where prospective clients can discuss their needs and ask any questions. After that, regular sessions can be online or face-to-face. Karin speaks English and Portuguese fluently so sessions can be held in either language.
Â
Finding the right support is crucial, and Karin believes she can be that support for you. Contact her for more information or book an initial consultation.
