Juliet Mugwanda
Cognitive Behavioural Therapist
Seeking help can be daunting, but you have taken the most important step in addressing life’s challenges. Juliet will provide a safe space and walk alongside you to help you understand yourself better.
Juliet holds a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Groupwork, as well as a COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills. Although she is CBT trained, where appropriate, she will use aspects of other modalities to unlock what stands in the way of you experiencing fulfilment. Juliet is an individual member of British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She supports adults with a range of presenting issues, including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, stress, lacking in assertiveness and OCD. Each person is unique, so Juliet will work with you to develop a plan that works just for you.
As a black therapist who lived in various parts of the world, she appreciates different cultures and issues you may be sensitive to. Your experiences will be respected, and Juliet will provide the space you need to explore them. Your first session will focus on your goals and expectations from counselling, assessing your needs, and an agreement of how you will work together.
Juliet offers a 30-minute introductory session free of charge. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have and to decide how well you will work with each other.
